ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Our mission is to improve the lives of every student that walks into our dojo. We do this through teaching Martial Arts virtues alongside the diligent study of Kihon (basics), Kata (forms) and Kumite (fighting).

The word karate means “empty hand”, and Karate-do translates to “the way of Karate”. Shotokan Karate is a weaponless martial art that is founded on the basic techniques of punching, striking, kicking and blocking, there is however a deeper aspect to serious Karate training which deals with character development, respect, discipline and a balanced body & mind. Shotokan Karate is a traditional Japanese Martial Art founded by Master Gichin Funakoshi
